Why Condition?

2006 Government legislation mandated that fuel companies had to continuously decrease the sulphur content of their diesel fuel. By October 2006 sulphur content in diesel reached target "Ultra Low" levels. At 15 parts per million (ppm), this is a substantial decrease considering sulphur was already at a Low Level at 500ppm.

Although this has obvious benefits for the environment, it will have a large negative effect on the operation of diesel engines. A decrease in the sulphur content decreases lubricity therefore increasing engine wear. Such increases in engine wear cause higher maintenance costs of diesel engines and injection systems.

Using Milligan’s DFC increasing the lubricity, enhances Cetane, and cleans injectors, while remaining environmentally friendly. Milligan’s DFC has been proven to decrease engine wear up to 50%. This decrease can be translated into dollars and cents.

The cost of running a standard Diesel engine works out to approximately 10¢/L. An engine wear reduction of 50% will translate into a 5¢/L decrease in maintenance costs. This means for every 1000L you burn your savings will be $50.00.

Another common effect of burning Milligan’s DFC is the increase in fuel economy. In some cases fuel economy has increased up to 20%, with an average increase of 6-8%.

To translate this in to dollars and cents; on $1.00/L diesel fuel you will save 6-8¢ on every litre of fuel you burn. This increase alone makes the use of Milligan’s DFC economically viable, not to mention the reduction in maintenance of the diesel engine, or the extension in engine life.

How is it Used?

Like most fuel conditioners Milligan’s DFC can be added to any amount of diesel fuel. Milligan’s Diesel Fuel Conditioner uses biodiesel as the carrier for the product. This means that you will see many of the same effects, but do not require as large of a blend.

Because of the process Milligan uses and the strength of the DFC, it is much more convenient a product than biodiesel, and can be carried in the truck of a car, under the seat of a truck or even in the cab of a tractor.

Since Milligan’s Diesel Fuel Conditioner is concentrated, only a 0.1% inclusion rate (1L treats 1000L) is required to see the benefits.

What Makes Milligan’s DFC Different?

Milligan’s Diesel Fuel Conditioner is of the highest quality and is the only one of its kind in North America, as it uses superior Canadian Canola Oil rather than Soybean or other feed stock.

Research from the University of Saskatchewan has shown that Canola Oil has unique properties which enhance the lubricity of diesel fuel. For this reason Milligan uses Canola from local producers, and processes the Canola from raw product to the finished goods, adding value in locally. A great Canadian idea!

The Ride-On Tire Protection System (“Ride-On TPS”) is a revolutionary line of tire sealants formulated to prevent flats caused by punctures from nails, thorns, screws and other debris. Ride-On TPS tire sealants extend tire life by hydrodynamically balancing tire/wheel assemblies, lowering tire operating temperatures and helping tires maintain their set-point pressures. Vehicles with Ride-On TPS benefit from better handling, better fuel economy, longer lasting tires and a safer ride.
